The Details

The project consisted of the Construction of a new sixth form centre at Hitchin Girls School.

The construction of a new two storey sixth form centre with classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, changing rooms, showers, boiler room, connecting 1st floor footbridge, soft & hard landscaping and S278 highways works.

The project was constructed during normal term time and had to be accessed via a new entrance roadway and haul road (subsequently removed).

The project was very challenging throughout the construction of the new 6th form centre primarily because of the interface with the existing school operations and the level of expectation from the board of governors. However, despite all of the challenges facing us the project was completed on time and within the clients budget.
